I have just discovered your website last night while looking for a recipe for an orange cake. I love your philosophy and especially the scrumptious recipes. Oh and that you’re in Perth. Yay! Just wanted to know where you can purchase orange blossom water from?

  • So glad that you like the recipes and the philosophy, if you’re ever interested in a class let me know.
You can buy orange blossom water from some supermarkets and most continental stores. I know that the Re Store in Northbridge and Leederville definitely have it. There is also Kakulas Bros in Northbridge and Kakulas Sisters in Fremantle. Do any of those suit you? If not, let me know the area you are in and I will do some research and let you know.
    Thanks for leaving a comment!

I tried these biscuits last night and I must admit I wasn’t very happy with them. They were quite bland and not orangey enough. I think they needed more sugar or some sort of creamy icing to go with it. I probably won’t try it again. The orange blossom water had a lovely smell to it. I found it at my local iga.

  • Hi Angie
Thanks for your honest comments. I agree, these are not too sweet and I think that is one of the things that I loved about them. I also would have liked more orange flavour and mentioned in my post that if I made them again I would add more orange blossom water. If you ever decided to try them again you could add the zest of another orange and sprinkle them with a little icing sugar. That might make them more like something that you were looking for. Hope you find something else to try and enjoy it.

    Hi there Fiona
What an awesome site you have! I discovered it quite by accident on searching Orange Blossom water! I look forward to having a darn good sticky beak!
Please tell me, do you think the above recipe would be suitable to freeze? I cannot identify any ingredients that would spoil, but you are the expert! Thanking you in advance
